Large Agents Meet in Seattle, Washington

The Title Agents Executive Section met at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Seattle from July 21st to 23rd. The meeting, informally dubbed the large agents meeting, is held twice yearly. The next meeting will be next January in Austin, TX. In Seattle, agents heard from Bob Grubb, CEO of Alliant National Title Company about the industry economic outlook for the next 18 months, and emerging issues of importance to large independent agents. Tom Richardson briefed the section on the TiTAN referral network. Formed by several independent agencies, the network enables agents to work with others outside of their home areas. Bill Ronhaar, Manager of Land Title Company located in Burlington, WA briefed attendees on local market conditions and the title industry in Washington. They also received a legislative update and discussed issues relating to the title agency business.
