LodeStar Report Examines Refi Closing Costs

May 28, 2026

The national average total closing costs for a refinance mortgage transaction were $2,207 in 2025, according to a new refinance mortgage closing cost data report from LodeStar Software Solutions. This amount consists of a national average of 0.67% of the refinance loan amount, the report showed. Find out how each state ranks in regard to closing costs and the impact transfer taxes have on overhead.
