Alley Rights Dispute in Illinois Highlights Power of Schedule B Exceptions

Michael R. O’Donnell, Of Counsel of the law firm Riker Danzig LLP, and Summer Associate Sharanya Thondapu provided today’s review of a decision by the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois that held a Schedule B exception excluding the "rights" of the city and the public to a 16-foot alley unambiguously barred coverage for the city's claim to a portion of the insured property.
