ALTA Recognizes Two Industry Leaders With Our Values Awards
October 15, 2026
Helping consumers understand their closing documents and advocating for greater access to homeownership earned Dawn Campos and Wendy Ethen, Esq., ALTA Our Values Awards during ALTA ONE in Scottsdale, Ariz.
The awards recognize individuals who exemplify ALTA’s core principles—We Lead, We Deliver and We Protect—through their work and service. This year’s recipients demonstrated how education and advocacy can strengthen communities and improve the experience of buying a home.
Dawn Campos: Making Closing Documents More Accessible
Campos, vice president and director of education and training for AmTrust Title, recognized a critical gap for Spanish-speaking homebuyers in her home state of Texas: Many were navigating closings without fully understanding the documents they were signing.
She took action by translating key title commitment and disclosure forms into Spanish and freely sharing them across the industry. Her initiative gave consumers the opportunity to read their own documents, better understand their transactions and make informed decisions.
Campos’ commitment to education extends beyond those translations. She also leads educational workshops for the Hispanic community and mentors emerging industry leaders, helping expand access to knowledge for consumers and title professionals alike.
Wendy Ethen: Advocating for Homeownership Opportunities
Ethen, president of Guaranty Commercial Title, was recognized for her longstanding commitment to expanding homeownership and advancing practical housing policy.
Long before housing affordability became a national legislative headline, Ethen was working alongside policymakers and industry leaders to help shape balanced legislation. Her advocacy recognizes that access to affordable housing is essential to the health of communities.
Her efforts focus on expanding opportunities for low- and moderate-income families while keeping real estate transactions viable for lenders and title professionals.
Through their distinct contributions, Campos and Ethen demonstrate the leadership, integrity and care that the Our Values Awards celebrate—and the difference title professionals can make in the communities they serve.
