Don't Forget: Register for Webinar Addressing Survey Standard Changes

January 4, 2011

Gary Kent, chair of the ALTA Liaison Committee with the American Congress on Surveying and Mapping (ACSM), will present a webinar for surveyors on Jan. 12 explaining the changes in the 2011 ALTA/ACSM Land Survey Standard from the 2005 version.

He will also address some of the detailed field work and surveying concepts that are crucial to an ALTA/ACSM Land Title Survey.

ALTA’s board approved the new standards in October,while the Board of the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS), a member organization of ACSM adopted the proposed 2011 ALTA/ACSM Land Survey Standard in November.

The new standard has been posted under the "Recently Approved for Final Publication" section of the ALTA Policy Forms Online at The update reflects the NSPS approval date.
