  In March 2024, the Biden administration announced a Title Acceptance Pilot, which waives the requirement for lender’s title insurance on certain refinances.   The proposed rule by U.S. Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) will require title and settlement companies nationwide to report information about all-cash residential transactions nationwide involving legal entities and trusts.

ALTA Welcomes New Members

June 17, 2025

ALTA is pleased to announce new and associate members, as well as real estate attorneys, who have recently joined ALTA. Over the past month, ALTA gained 48 new members, including 27 title agencies and abstracters, as well as eight real estate attorneys. ALTA has 5,187 member companies so far in 2025.
