Many people use browser extensions to simplify tasks like blocking ads, checking grammar, and managing passwords. However, a recent discovery has revealed that even these seemingly harmless tools can pose significant risks. Read on as Genady Vishnevetsky, chief info security officer for Stewart Title Guaranty Co. and chair of ALTA's Information Security Work Group, shares examples of how cybercriminals are using browser extensions to monitor users' online activities, track visited websites and capture sensitive information.
