  In March 2024, the Biden administration announced a Title Acceptance Pilot, which waives the requirement for lender’s title insurance on certain refinances. ALTA called the announcement a political gesture offering a false promise of savings for homeowners while exposing consumers, lenders and taxpayers to greater financial risk.

Lift Yourself—and Others—with the ALTA Wings Mentorship Program

Whether you’re hoping to learn from experience or share your own, the Wings Mentorship Program helps ALTA members grow, connect and soar together. Apply by Nov. 21 to be considered for the program. You must be able to commit to at least one meeting per month to participate.

This free, yearlong program pairs experienced professionals with emerging leaders across the title industry to support growth, build confidence and strengthen connections. Mentees gain personalized guidance to navigate their career journey, while mentors make a lasting impact by helping shape the next generation of title professionals.

The 2026 program runs January through October with monthly virtual meetups. In-person events like ALTA EDge and ALTA ONE offer great opportunities to connect, but attendance isn’t required.

Applications are now open to all ALTA members! Whether you’re ready to spread your wings or help someone else take flight, we’d love to have you onboard.
