Title Resources Group Adds Agency Account Manager for Three States

August 12, 2025

Title Resources Group (TRG) has appointed Janell Downing as agency account manager for Ohio, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. In this role, Downing will drive business development efforts in these states by forming and managing relationships with title insurance agents while supporting their growth initiatives.

"Janell's extensive background on both the title agency and underwriter side made her the perfect fit for this role," said Kim Midgett, senior vice president of TRG. "She understands the intricate needs of title agents and will offer support with office operations, marketing, training and education."

Downing has over 40 years of title insurance experience. Before joining TRG, she worked for 25 years with two large underwriters, managing territories to increase market share, developing client relations and implementing marketing strategies. She served as an escrow officer and branch manager for a title agency in Ohio for 6 years and has held roles in document preparation, budgeting, real estate closings, agency operations and commercial transactions.

"I'm excited to join the TRG family and continue my work with title agencies in Ohio and on the East Coast," Downing said. "With my tenacious, solution-driven approach, agents can rely on me to show up, listen and understand their business needs, goals and challenges—always working together on creative plans and solutions."

Downing holds the Ohio Land Title Professional designation, which recognizes individuals who have made contributions to the title industry through their work experience and involvement with industry organizations. She served on the Ohio Land Title Association Board as Trustee and Secretary from 2019-2023.
