Title Resources Group Appoints Underwriting Counsel for North Carolina

June 26, 2025

Title Resources Group (TRG) recently named Natasha Branch as vice president of education and underwriting counsel for North Carolina. She will provide underwriting support and guidance to independent and affiliated title agents throughout North Carolina and the broader Southeast, expanding TRG's footprint in the state.

"Natasha's depth of knowledge and experience in doing real estate transactions of every size over the course of her career will provide strong support for our agents in the Southeast," said Mickey Godat, Title Resources Group's chief underwriting counsel. "Adding this to her educational programming background and her engaging and dynamic presentation style for title and settlement agent continuing education, makes her a standout in the industry."

Branch has 18 years of experience in underwriting and risk management. Prior to joining TRG, she served as state legal education director and title counsel for a national title insurance underwriter, where she implemented legal-focused education programs and provided underwriting support on multi-million-dollar transactions. She has also managed a more than 20-employee title office in North Carolina, serving as operations manager and underwriting counsel. In this capacity, she streamlined workflow processes, increasing productivity by more than 25%, and assessed nearly 200 complex real estate title issues annually.

Earlier in her career, Branch spent four years as a state claims manager in North Carolina, as well as two years as a commercial title counsel, in which she represented a national underwriter in large, complex commercial transactions.

"TRG's growth framework and its successful approach to innovative, responsible underwriting are an attractive mix," Branch said. "I am excited to lean into my new role, using my underwriting, claims and operations experience to advise TRG agents on title and underwriting matters and present on important industry topics through in-person and virtual seminars."
