New Email Encryption Rules Mean More Frequent Renewals for Title Companies

Title and settlement professionals should prepare for a significant shift in how email encryption certificates are managed, as industry standards move toward dramatically shorter lifespans over the next several years. As of March 15, 2026, organizations—including title insurance and settlement services companies—are now required to renew email encryption certificates far more frequently. Read on to learn when shorter validity periods will go into effect.
