American Land Title Association Applauds Confirmation of HUD Deputy Secretary Brian Montgomery

Washington, DC, May 12, 2020 — The American Land Title Association (ALTA), the national trade association of the land title insurance industry, applauded the Senate’s confirmation of Brian Montgomery as Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD):

“ALTA applauds the Senate’s confirmation of Brian Montgomery as Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development,” said ALTA Chief Executive Officer Diane Tomb. “Deputy Secretary Montgomery has been a steadfast, dependable leader during these uncertain times, serving as Acting Deputy Secretary for more than a year in addition to his role as Federal Housing Administration Commissioner. We are fortunate to have a public servant of his caliber serving our country and working to help those most at risk to have access to affordable housing during this pandemic. Deputy Secretary Montgomery’s long-term expertise within the housing community will be extremely valuable to all Americans as we navigate our country through the current crisis.
