Doma Appoints Regional Managing Director of California

Doma Holdings Inc. announced that Scott Callender has joined the local leadership team as regional managing director.
In this role, he is responsible for managing all associates and branch operations in California. Callender has worked in the industry for more than 16 years.
“Doma is disrupting a large, antiquated marketplace, and utilizing technology to fill a need that I know consumers want: a faster, more seamless home closing experience,” Callender said. “Title and escrow professionals are taking notice and want to be a part of this industry transformation, and I am thrilled to help lead what is only the beginning of this exciting movement.”
Callender spent the majority of his industry career at First American Financial Corp., where he served in various leadership positions including chief operating officer of First American Property and Casualty Insurance Group. Most recently he was senior vice president of business operations for First American Mortgage Solutions. In his roles over the years, Callender oversaw multiple divisions and teams, innovating on business operations to drive growth and foster creative solutions.
Prior to joining First American, Callender led operations for global companies including as a director and operations manager at Disneyland Resort, and operations manager at Taco Bell, where he oversaw national customer service.
