Answer the Call: Volunteer for an ALTA Committee
If you’ve never thought about volunteering on an ALTA Committee, now is the time to find your perfect match. With 40 committees available, there is a group for every title industry interest. Whether you’ve been missing stimulating conversations with peers because of stay-at-home orders or you’re looking for a way to become more involved in the title insurance community, ALTA Committees can help you fill that void.
ALTA is now accepting volunteers for its committees. The deadline to submit your name is Wednesday, July 15. If you are interested in volunteering, click here to submit an online volunteer form.
If you have a special area of expertise (real property records, claims, Native American Lands or industry technology, for example), or if you have an area of interest (such as membership, government affairs, public relations, research or employee and professional education, to name a few), there is a committee on which you can volunteer to serve.
The ALTA president-elect makes all committee appointments in the summer for a term beginning after ALTA ONE in October.
To be on an ALTA Committee, you also must have a current membership to the Title Action Network (TAN). You can quickly and easily join or rejoin TAN with just three clicks:
- First, click here.
- If you are not already logged into ALTA’s website, click the red “Log In” button. (if you need your password, click here for an email reminder).
- Review and update your contact information on the Join TAN page, then CLICK the red “Renew TAN” box at the bottom of the page.
Remember, your TAN membership will expire annually, but you can stay connected by opening TAN emails and taking actions. Each time you respond to a TAN alert, your membership auto-renews for another year!
