Knight Barry Title Expands Florida Footprint

Wisconsin-based Knight Barry Title (KBT) is growing again in the Sunshine State with its latest acquisition of Island Title in St. Augustine, Fla.

In addition to St. Augustine, KBT operates five other offices in Florida. Four of them are in and around the Panhandle (Crestview, Destin, Panama City Beach and Pensacola), and the other office is in Sanibel.

“We have already added two offices to our growing Florida portfolio in 2020 and will continue to search for more companies that want to be a part of what we stand for and what we’re trying to accomplish,” said Craig Haskins, KBT’s chief operating officer.

As part of the acquisition, Island Title owner Vickie Rianda and her team will stay on to operate the St. Augustine office. Continuity and retaining local expertise to maintain that familiarity with customers are all key for Haskins when evaluating whether a company would be a good fit for KBT.

“Our team will still be here working directly with our loyal customers,” Rianda said. “We are excited to become part of Knight Barry Title and know the new support and resources will allow us to help our clients and our community in even more ways. We’ve served St. Augustine for many years, and with Knight Barry Title, we can continue our service for a long time to come.”

In addition to Florida, Knight Barry Title operates offices in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan.
