ALTA Releases Discussion Draft for Policy Forms Revisions

ALTA has released the third set of discussion drafts of the proposed revisions to the standard ALTA 2006 Loan and Owner’s Title Insurance Policies.

ALTA’s Title Insurance Forms Committee has been working on the proposed revisions for several years. The first discussion drafts were posted for comment in October 2017, while the second set was released in January 2019.

The discussion drafts can be downloaded at alta.org/policy-forms. Send comments to forms@alta.org.

Deadline to submit comments is Feb. 20, 2020.

The Policy Forms Committee intends to finalize its recommended changes in early March. Comments received after March 1 may be considered at a later date.
