RamQuest Gives to Plano ISD CORE Store

October 1, 2019

As part of an ongoing initiative aimed at supporting local charities and other nonprofit organizations, RamQuest Inc. and its employees came together to offer support for Plano ISD teachers as they prepared to go back to school. The RamQuest Gives Back program provided more than 1,400 school supplies and volunteer time to Plano ISD’s CORE Store.

As a team, RamQuest employees collected a variety of school supplies during the month of August for Plano ISD’s CORE Store, including high demand supplies like dry erase markers, storage bags and Clorox wipes. RamQuest, Inc. matched every high demand item donated and a grand total of 1,402 school supplies were donated through the RamQuest Gives Back initiative to the CORE Store. In addition to the donated items, RamQuest team members volunteered at the CORE Store, stocking store shelves, assisting with check-in and helping teachers load supplies in their cars.

“Donations of supplies to the Plano ISD Education Foundation’s CORE Store go directly into the hands of our teachers and into the classrooms throughout the district,” said Jamee Jolly, senior executive director of Plano ISD Education Foundation. “More than 80% of PISD teachers were spending their own paychecks on supplies before we developed the CORE Store. We appreciate RamQuest’s assistance in making sure that every student in Plano ISD has the supplies they need in order for them to reach their full potential in the classroom.”

CORE Store by Plano ISD’s Education Foundation impacts 44,000 students by providing Plano ISD teachers the opportunity to shop for donated school supplies at no cost as many times as needed throughout the year for their students.
