Fidelity’s Carroll Awarded N.Y. State Bar’s Professionalism Award

January 22, 2019

Frank Carroll, regional counsel for Fidelity National Title Group (FNTG), was awarded the Professionalism Award of the New York State Bar Association’s Real Property Section during its annual meeting in January. Each year, the Real Property Section honors an outstanding real estate practitioner with this award. Award recipients are nominated by their peers for meeting several qualifications. Nominees must possess an outstanding level of competent legal ability and achievement, a continuing civility and appreciation for others, a history of mentoring younger attorneys and serving as a voice on legal issues.

Early in his career, Carroll was trained and mentored by attorneys who emphasized that public service was an essential part of the life of the practicing attorney. This notion of service to the bar has carried over into his other significant bar activities, with lawyers whose practices are in distress due to illness, age, financial downturns and disciplinary matters. For many years, Carroll has served on and chaired local and statewide committees concerned with Law Practice Continuity.

Carroll has been a title insurance attorney for more than 30 years and is presently the senior underwriting counsel in New York for the Fidelity National Financial group of title insurers (Chicago Title, Fidelity National Title and Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company). He also serves in a senior underwriting capacity in the New England states. He has been a long-time member of the New York State Bar Association and of several local bar associations around the state.
