CATIC Receives Positive SOC 2 Report

June 13, 2017

CATIC announced that it has received a positive SOC 2 report (Service Organization Controls), a third-party verification that the company’s critical controls are effectively designed to manage the security and confidentiality of its data. This verification provides assurances that the company has proper controls and procedures in place to protect this sensitive data.

Given the increasing threats to the safety of personal and financial information, it is important that companies effectively manage and safeguard their data. In receiving this positive SOC 2 report, CATIC said in a release that it can provide reassurance to those who interact with the company that it has implemented the systems and processes that are necessary to ensure that data is safe and secure.

“CATIC’s Information Technology and Internal Audit Teams worked very hard over the last year to achieve a SOC 2 Type 1 positive opinion,” said James M. Czapiga, CATIC’s president and CEO. This opinion confirms to all our stakeholders that CATIC is effectively managing and safeguarding its data. In addition, having a third-party examination of our internal controls has helped us to better comply with industry best practices in safeguarding our data and systems.”
