Report: The Potential Macroeconomic Effect of Debt Ceiling Brinksmanship

If the United States fails to raise the nation’s debt ceiling and defaults on its bills the potential impact could be catastrophic causing credit markets to potentially freeze, the value of the dollar could possibly plummet and U.S. interest rates could skyrocket, the Treasury said a report.
