Registration Open for Business Strategies Conference

Title agents looking to find the latest tips on how to grow market share, streamline their operations or get up to date on compliance changes won’t want to miss ALTA’s 2010 Business Strategies Conference, which will be held May 2-4 at The Hyatt Regency in St. Louis.

The 2010 Business Strategy Conference is an ideal event for title agents and abstracters. From CEOs and presidents, to managers and IT specialists, the Business Strategies Conference offers professional development, networking, and vendor interaction opportunities for everyone.

One of the general sessions will feature 35-year industry veteran Pat Stone, whose experience ranges from an operation manager to being the COO of the largest company in the business. Do you need to think strategically, or does the title industry allow you to emulate successful competitors? Are the national underwriters including you in their strategic thinking? These are just a few of the questions Stone will address during his presentation.

The conference’s professional development sessions will be broken down into four tracks: growing your business, operations, compliance and discussion forums. Topics include RESPA, access to public records, 1031 exchanges, foreign real estate transactions, how to preserve a title agency’s value in a crisis, agent financials and how to spot illegal or unethical situations.

ALTA has pending approval for CE or CLE credits in 15 states.
