A conference call to discuss, H.R. 3126, the Consumer Financial Protection Agency (CFPA) Act, will be held at 12 p.m. EDT, Aug. 26 by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

The act would create a new and massive government agency to regulate consumer financial products. This bill extends far beyond traditional financial services products to a vast majority of the economy, in short creating a new regulatory overlay over the entire business community.
