Hawaii Update

April 8, 2008

For those of you that have already made your reservations to Hawaii for the ALTA Annual Convention, you may want to check in with your airline to confirm that your arrangements are secure. In the last week, two airlines servicing Hawaii filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and halted all passenger services – Aloha Airlines and ATA. Several larger airlines partnered with Aloha for inter-island transports, most notably United Airlines, and ATA had flights to Honolulu from the U.S. Mainland. Other airlines are working to ensure that passengers booked on these airlines can travel as planned, but it is in your best interest to contact them yourself if you believe you could be affected.
