Garden City, NY, September 14, 2004 – Realty Data Corp. (RDC), a national provider of electronic abstracting services to the title and financial industries, announced today the company’s expansion into Putnam County, New York and Story County, Iowa. With the addition of these two counties, RDC advances its goal of significantly widening the geographic coverage of its ground-breaking title search system. The company now offers comprehensive research services through its Examination Network in more than 60 counties in 6 states.

“Our services have been available in New York City since 2000, but Putnam County marks the beginning of our expansion across New York State,” said RDC Executive Vice President Bill Welge. “We are also very pleased to now be providing services in Iowa. Though Story County is only our first service area in the state, we expect to add a number of other counties over the next year.”

The RDC search engine is a unique real estate research system that is able to sort through multiple databases containing millions of property records and compile information in a consistent, easy-to-read format. Research and report generation can be accomplished in a fraction of the time when compared to manual searches, and data accuracy is ensured through built-in quality controls. Using this system allows title commitments to be efficiently generated, permitting clients to realize direct cost savings and greater customer satisfaction.

Traditionally, the greatest challenge for the abstracting community has been gaining quick access to current and accurate information. RDC not only offers abstractors a faster, more efficient way to conduct title searches, but also gives them added benefits such as the ability to work at home, the capacity to deliver finished reports via the Internet, and the capability to serve customers who require electronic data and delivery. This means abstractors can now increase their bottom-line profitability as they improve their overall effectiveness.
