Realtor.com Becomes Exclusive Content Provider for MSN House& Home

January 14, 2004

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Homestore Inc. (NASDAQ: HOMS) announced today that Realtor.com(R), the official Web site of the National Association of Realtors, will be the exclusive provider of integrated home listings and Realtor(R) directory content to the House& Home channel on the MSN network. The new multi-year agreement is expected to go live before the end of the first quarter.

"Today, most consumers are using the Internet as an integral part of their home search process. In fact, more than 70 percent of all homebuyers used the Internet at some point in their search last year," said Mike Long, Homestore's chief executive officer(a). "MSN House& Home is a valuable resource for online homebuyers, and our new relationship with them enables us to substantially increase online exposure for Realtors. While Realtor.com is already the most visited real estate Web site on the Internet, we believe this relationship with MSN will increase the consumer audience available to our customers."

"With its extensive home listings and Realtor directory, Realtor.com was an obvious choice for rich vertical content to power the 'Buying A Home' portion of our House& Home channel," said Lisa Gurry, MSN group product manager. "We are committed to providing consumers with the best and most comprehensive information available with the industry's leading content providers."

Home listings appearing on Realtor.com will be available to MSN customers. Realtors, brokers and franchises will have the opportunity to secure newly available display advertising positions to present Featured Home(TM), Featured Agent(TM) and Featured Company(TM) content to MSN users. Homestore will share revenue from these newly available advertising positions with MSN.
