American National Financial, Inc. Announces Its Thirteenth Consecutive Quarterly Cash Dividend

March 15, 2002

ORANGE, Calif., /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American National Financial, Inc. (Nasdaq: ANFI) announced that at a meeting on March 13, 2002, its Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend in the amount of $.125 per share. The dividend will be payable on April 8, 2002 to stockholders of record as of March 25, 2002.

"Our thirteenth consecutive quarterly dividend reaffirms the Company's ongoing commitment to reward our shareholders and provide them with added value to their investment," said Michael C. Lowther, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer.

"The Company's declaration of this stock dividend is indicative of the continuing confidence we have in our ongoing earning potential," stated Carl A. Strunk, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
