The Koogler Group, LLC, is an educational design company, providing educational programs and products for title (settlement) agents, attorneys, and related-industry professionals. Karen Koogler, CEO, is the title industry’s leading author/educator, having published over 30 title (settlement) textbooks ranging from task-specific jobskills [Closing Concepts; Title Basics; Liability 101] and business basics [TechnoTitle 2020; Partnering for Profit] textbooks to Licensing and Certification Assessment [LCAT] Training textbooks, and federal compliance [2008 RESPA Final Rule; 2015 TRID Rule; Federal Compliance and Risk Management] textbooks. In the 1990’s, The Koogler Group partnered with ALTA’s Land Title Institute on several educational programs/projects resulting in or arising from textbooks written by Karen Koogler. These included the first [and only] national industry survey on honesty and ethics in the title insurance industry [Bringing Ethics and Values to the Bottom Line]; a series of FutureFocus CE/CLE programs based on the 1998 book, TechnoTitle 2020: FutureFocus on the Settlement Service Industry; and a weekend educational retreat on affiliated business arrangements based on the 1999 book, Partnering for Profit. In 2007-2008 and, again, in 2014-2015, Karen wrote textbooks and created full-day CE/CLE programs on federal RESPA and TRID changes. With the backing of myriad state land title associations and title insurers, Karen successfully delivered the full-day programs to classroom and online audiences throughout the country, with combined attendance of more than 8,000 industry professionals. CURRENT [2019-2020] PROGRAMS/PRODUCTS: Beginning in 2019 and continuing through 2020, The Koogler Group is releasing three new online programs: (1) TechnoTitle 2030: FutureFocus on the Settlement Service Industry; (2) Cyber-Awareness Training [C.A.T.]; and (3) Blockchain Basics.
