ATG Title, Pioneer Technology Group Announce New Consumer Benefit and Green Initiative

June 28, 2012

Homebuyers often see firsthand how the real estate closing process struggles to keep pace with consumer technology. Consumers typically walk away from real estate closings with mountains of paper. Sensitive personal and financial information contained in those documents is typically not secured in any way. After closing, paper documents are often forgotten, misplaced, or difficult to locate when needed, and replacing important documents such as surveys can be time consuming and expensive.

ATG Title, a national provider of real estate closing services, has partnered with Pioneer Technology Group, developers of YourDox, to provide a secure "green" solution for buyers, sellers and borrowers that protects their papers and also allows secure access to documents in the future. The ATG Dox archive also allows homeowners to add any other important documents for safekeeping.

"We believe it's important to provide our customers with technology services that improve the closing experience" said Faith Poe, director of sales and marketing for ATG Title. "Secure, online document storage makes sense on many levels; document preservation, disaster recovery, and consumer convenience. This technology reflects ATG Title's commitment to innovative technology and environmental responsibility in the real estate industry".

A Reuters News Service poll earlier this year found that banking and confirming finances is the single most popular use of the internet. Other surveys reveal that more than 75% of homebuyers use the internet as the primary method to find properties. ATG Dox compliments those services, providing secure consumer websites for real estate and other important documents they wish to store for convenience and safekeeping.

"We're very excited to partner with ATG Title and provide our YourDox service to consumers" said Peter Johnson, vice president of Pioneer Technology Group. "Our expertise in secure records management for title companies, counties, and courthouses brings new consumer benefits to title and real estate industry, and we’re pleased to partner with ATG Title, a proven leader in the home and loan closing process”.
