Underwriter Integrates with SoftPro to Aid Agent Productivity

March 24, 2011

Lender Processing Services, Inc. (LPS), a provider of integrated technology and services to the mortgage and real estate industries, announced that North American Title Insurance Co. is now helping its agents become more productive — and profitable — by making its underwriting products available to its agents via SoftPro 360, a business exchange platform offered by LPS’ SoftPro Division.

The integration will allow North American Title’s agents to order electronic policy jackets without leaving their SoftPro workspace.

“By using SoftPro 360, agents will no longer have to go to a separate website, significantly improving their day-to-day productivity,” said Joyce Weiland, LPS SoftPro’s president.

When agents place orders with North American Title through SoftPro 360, digital copies of electronic policy jackets are returned to them electronically through the SoftPro 360 interface. No data needs to be re-entered – saving time and reducing the likelihood of error.

North American Title is the first title insurance underwriter to offer its agents the ability to order electronic policy jackets directly from SoftPro. As a result of SoftPro 360’s ability to increase agent productivity and significantly enhance the end-customer experience, North American Title is making the interface available to its agents without charge.

“North American Title Insurance Company is proud to do business the old-fashioned way – by listening to our agents," said Emilio Fernandez, president of North American Title. “Our agents asked us to simplify their lives and do away with the need to go to a separate website to get products from their underwriter. By offering all of our products via SoftPro 360, our agents can get everything they need from us without ever having to leave their production environment. The efficiency our agents will gain as a result of our integration with SoftPro 360 will provide them with a much-needed competitive advantage in this difficult marketplace.”
