The Fund Appoints Simmons as President and CEO

April 29, 2014

Attorneys’ Title Insurance Fund, a Florida-based bar-related title services provider, appointed John Simmons as president and chief executive officer. Simmons had served as interim president and CEO since March 2013.

Simmons has more than 30 years of experience in the title and legal fields. He started his career at a national underwriter’s direct operation in Rockville, Md., and later served as a title plant manager in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Additionally, Simmons was also an active Fund title agent in Boca Raton, Fla., for 13 years prior to starting his career at The Fund in Orlando. He joined the company on the DoubleTime Team and was promoted to enterprise product manager. Simmons later served as a vice president focusing on IT, marketing and new initiatives.

“Supporting, facilitating and promoting the real estate practices of Fund members is part of my DNA,” Simmons said. “Not competing with our members is a core value of The Fund.”

Simmons is actively involved in industry activities such as ALTA’s Technology and Closing committees, the Florida Land Title Association and the Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar.
