Hints for Successful Proposals

  • Proposals are expected to be company- and product-neutral, educational in focus, and well-formed.
  • Session name and description should be proposed using correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Complete contact information should be provided for all proposed presenters and panelists.
  • Carefully consider the mix of speakers and panelists. If you are a vendor, you may want to team up with a customer to propose a case study.
  • If any part of the content of your proposal is vendor or company specific, you should consider forming a panel with presenters from competitor companies. These types of panel presentations are very popular and have proven to be successful.
  • Presenters can draft and refine proposals using word processing software and then block and copy the proposed session description into the form.
