American Land Title Association Elects Craig Haskins as President

Washington, D.C., Oct. 14, 2026 — The American Land Title Association (ALTA), the national trade association of the land title insurance industry, is proud to announce that Craig Haskins has been inducted as ALTA president for the 2026-2027 association year.

With more than 30 years of experience in the title insurance industry, Haskins brings a strong track record of industry leadership to the role. As president and CEO of Milwaukee-based Knight Barry Title, Haskins oversees the company’s operations and continued growth across Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan and Florida.

Haskins has been active in ALTA leadership, including serving on the Board of Governors and as vice chair of ALTA’s Best Practices Work Group. He also has served on numerous ALTA committees and engagement groups, currently serves on the Florida Land Title Association’s board of directors and previously served as president of the Wisconsin Land Title Association.

As ALTA president, Haskins plans to focus on strengthening the association’s impact by fostering collaboration, elevating member voices and ensuring ALTA continues to deliver practical value to title professionals across the country. He is committed to helping members navigate emerging challenges, embrace new opportunities and advance the industry’s role in protecting real estate transactions and property rights.

“ALTA is at its best when members are engaged and willing to bring their ideas, experiences and perspectives to the table,” Haskins said. “My job as president is to listen, make sure members feel the value of this association and encourage more people to add their voices to the conversation. Some of the best ideas in our industry come from people who are solving problems every day in their own businesses, and I want to make sure ALTA continues to create opportunities for those ideas to be heard and put into action.”

Haskins also plans to emphasize practical solutions that reflect the changing needs of title professionals and the consumers, lenders and communities they serve. That includes continuing to evaluate how technology, fraud prevention and evolving industry practices can strengthen the way title professionals work while preserving the protections at the core of the industry.

“Craig is someone who listens closely, asks thoughtful questions and understands the day-to-day realities our members face,” said ALTA CEO Chris Morton. “He has a strong instinct for bringing people into the conversation and turning member ideas into practical solutions. That collaborative approach will be a tremendous asset as our industry continues to lean into the opportunities presented by technology and innovation to better serve consumers, strengthen fraud prevention and protect property rights.”

Haskins’ biography can be found on ALTA’s website.
