WFG Appoints Klein to Oversee National Agency Division

November 3, 2015

WFG National Title Insurance Co. has named Thomas Klein as senior vice president. In this role, he will oversee the company’s national agency division. Klein replaces Roger Blauvelt, who will retire after 40 years in the settlement services industry.

Previously, Klein served as senior vice president for the company’s agency operations in the southeast region. He has 35 years of experience in the title and settlement services industry. Before coming to WFG National Title in 2010, Klein was vice president with Alliance Solutions LLC, a national consulting firm. Before that, Klein spent 22 years as an officer with a national title insurance underwriter, where he held a number of roles, including managing the southeastern Virginia agency territory; concurrently managing a northern Virginia subsidiary; and managing agency operations in northern Virginia.

In addition, Klein initiated the insurer’s national agency operations, and managed a group consulting with agents and company officials on affiliated business arrangement matters. Prior to working with the insurer, Klein was the president and founder of Virginia Escrow & Title Company. He is a past president of the Virginia Land Title Association, and has practiced real estate law with a private firm.

“Tom has played a significant role in the growth of WFG’s agency division,” said Patrick Stone, president and CEO for Williston Financial Group. “He has earned the trust and respect of independent agents and colleagues throughout the industry with his calm leadership and unyielding support.”

Clinton Yarborough will succeed Klein in overseeing WFG’s southeast agency division. Yarborough will continue to fulfill his duties as agency state manager/counsel for WFG’s agents in South Carolina in addition to attending to his new duties. Yarborough has been with WFG since 2011.

He came to WFG National Title after working for a national title insurance underwriter, where he served as associate state counsel. Before that, he was underwriting and claims counsel for Atlantic Title Insurance Company, where he oversaw the underwriting and claims administration for all 13 states in which that firm was licensed. He also has extensive experience in private law practice, having served as the managing attorney for the REO and residential real estate department with a large, statewide firm.
