House Financial Services Committee Chairman Michael G. Oxley (OH) released the following letter sent to the Government Accountability Office (GAO) requesting a study of the title insurance industry.

Specifically, the letter requests an overall review of the title insurance marketplace and an analysis of how title insurers conduct business with lenders, realtors, homebuilders, and consumers.
