WFG Names Underwriting Counsel for Northern New England

May 13, 2014

Elizabeth Barton has joined WFG National Title Insurance Co. as vice president and underwriting counsel for the company’s agency group in northern New England.

With WFG, Barton will work with senior underwriting counsel Ward Graham to build the company’s agency base in the region as well as support existing WFG agents with underwriting challenges and ongoing education. She is a member of the Real Estate Bar Association for Massachusetts (REBA) and serves on the association’s Title Standards Committee and Continuing Education Committee. Barton is also an active member of the Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA), for which she produces and teaches several real estate seminars each year. Additionally, she is a member of the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts, where she serves on its Membership Committee, as well as a member of the Merrimack Valley Conveyancers Association. She lectures for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, the MBA, REBA and the Suffolk University Law School Advanced Legal Studies Center for CLE and Academic Conferences.

Prior to joining WFG National Title Insurance Company, she worked with a regional title examination company, a commercial law firm, and, most recently, a northeast regional underwriter based in New England.

“Many of our agents in New England already know Beth and respect her expertise and willingness to go the extra mile for them,” said Joseph Drum, executive vice president for WFG National Title. “Her addition continues WFG’s tradition of providing the best and deepest resources for its agents—especially at a time when agents need support and counsel more than ever before.”
