|July 9, 2013|
Baillie & Hershman P.C. announced that attorney Elton “Bud” Harvey III has been elected chairman of the Connecticut Bar Association Real Property Section for 2013-2014.
Harvey has been a member of the Real Property Section Executive Committee since 1994 and has previously served as its secretary and vice chairman. The 2013-2014 chairmanship is effective from July 1 through June 30, 2014.
The purpose of the Real Property Section is to promote the educational and professional objectives of the Connecticut Bar Association within the field of real property law. The Section provides a forum at executive committee and section meetings throughout the year for the exchange of information and ideas relative to real property issues, concerns, and transactions, both residential and commercial.
“I am honored to play an active role in the Connecticut Bar Association,” Harvey said. “The Real Property Section makes up the best and brightest of the real property bar. I hope to assist in bringing the message that, for the most important purchase you will ever make, a good real estate attorney is an important part of your team. The value that Connecticut real estate lawyers bring to the table is a theme that I look forward to promoting this year with the help of my esteemed colleagues.”
