Own Your Future and Learn about Untapped Growth Opportunities
As a specialist in corporate positioning and media relations, Ken Schmidt was asked to work with the then-struggling Harley-Davidson to help restore the company’s image and create demand for its motorcycles. Within a few short years, Harley-Davidson became one of the most visible and frequently reported-on companies in the world, while sales of its motorcycles rocketed upward.
Register for ALTA’s 2014 Annual Convention to learn how Schmidt helped fuel one of the most celebrated turnarounds in corporate history.
With little differentiation among competitors and media-fueled erosion of trust in financial services providers, it’s no wonder potential clients opt to work with “whoever’s closest to my house,” instead of “whoever can best serve my needs.” During the Friday, Oct. 17 general session, Schmidt will share how you can change the culture of your company to stand out, create demand in your local markets, fuel client referrals and take advantage of the look-alike/act-alike competitive environment. This will be the perfect opportunity to get on the road to building a fanatically vocal customer base, creating a passionately loyal corporate culture, and developing leaders who inspire and motivate.
While Schmidt will offer insights on growth strategies, creating demand and enhancing the customer experience, ALTA has scheduled a robust lineup of professional development sessions. Here’s a glance at the session topics that will be addressed:
Legal and Regulatory
Consumer Financial Protection Bureau
Sales, Strategy and Marketing

Best Practices Video
ALTA plans to make a video of members celebrating the implementation of Best Practices. This is where you come in. We need members to create a short video (less than 30 seconds will do) of your staff dancing to Pharrell’s Happy song. Because these may be large files, videos must be submitted through Google Drive. For access to ALTA’s Google Drive account, please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will respond with a link to where you can upload your video. Be happy and get dancing!
