ALTA Title Insurance Education E-Kit

ALTA created the Education e-Kit to help members educate consumers, real estate agents, lenders, the media and others about the value of title insurance. The e-Kit includes information in a variety of formats that can be easily downloaded and used by members. You must be logged in as a member to access the e-Kit materials.

Homebuyer Presentation
ALTA has created a presentation to help educate homebuyers about the importance of title insurance and the closing process. Members have access to a recording of the presentation, a copy of the Power Point and a Word document of the script. Members are encouraged to modify the script and record their own video.

Letter to Homeowner
ALTA members can send this simple and short letter to homebuyers informing them of the benefits they receive from working with a title professional and purchasing an Owner’s Title Insurance Policy. We encourage members to modify the text and use it with your company letterhead. The text can also be used in email format if you communicate with consumers electronically.

Consumer Website
ALTA members can link to ALTA’s consumer website, Home Closing 101, to generate new business and to educate homebuyers. It is designed to provide the essential information that explains title insurance and the closing process to consumers.

Steps in a Home Purchase and a Refinance
There are many detailed steps involved in the purchase and closing of a property and the refinance of a mortgage. Use these documents to highlight everything you do for your customers.
