Virginia Beach, Va., Resident Receives National Title Professional Designation

Washington, DC, May 11, 2015 — Heather Meahl has been awarded a National Title Professional (NTP) designation from the American Land Title Association (ALTA), the national trade association of the land title insurance industry. Meahl joins 46 other industry leaders from around the United States who have earned the professional designation.

The designation recognizes land title professionals who demonstrate the knowledge, experience and dedication essential to the safe and efficient transfer of real property.*

“Heather’s dedication and enthusiasm for the land title insurance industry is admirable,” said ALTA President Diane Evans NTP. ”Her professionalism, knowledge and industry devotion prove her to be a much-deserved recipient of a National Title Professional designation. I hope that other land title insurance professionals follow Heather’s lead and apply for an NTP designation.”

Meahl is Vice President of Operations and Compliance at Reliant Title Insurance Agency in Virginia Beach, VA. She has received Certified Title Settlement Agent designations from the Virginia Land Title Association (VLTA) since 2012. Meahl is extremely involved in VLTA volunteering on several committees including the Board of Directors. Most recently she served as the Director of the “Title Examiner,” VLTA’s magazine publication and will be named VLTA treasurer in June. Meahl also serves on the Closing and Education Committees for ALTA.

Meahl is the third NTP designee from Virginia. A full directory of National Title Professionals is available here.
