ALTA Joins Coalition Calling for Long-term Reauthorization of National Flood Insurance Program

December 9, 2025

In a letter to Congress, the groups highlighted the disruption in the housing market that was caused by the temporary lapse of the NFIP during the recent government shutdown. Short-term renewals and lapses in authorization put homebuyers, sellers and the broader real-estate market at risk, the letter said.
