Doma Names Agency Manager for Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio

Doma Title Insurance Inc. has appointed Matthew Hood as agency manager for Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. In this role, he will provide Doma independent agents with the tools, resources and underwriter support they need to thrive and grow in the coming years.

Hood brings more than three decades of title insurance experience to his position. Earlier in his career, he served as president of Escrow Title Services Inc. in Chicago, providing escrow services to attorneys for more than a decade before moving to the Tri-State area. He has also managed territories for national underwriters, most recently as Midwest regional agency manager for a national underwriter, assisting the company with its development of new markets in six states.

“Matt is known as a tenacious advocate for agents and has a long history of helping agents succeed in markets across the United States,” said Michael Holden, vice president and strategic agency manager for Doma. “Because Matt has been a business owner in the title industry, he knows the challenges to building a successful title agency. In addition to having the knowledge and expertise to help his agents, he takes the necessary time to really understand each agent’s unique needs so he can provide them with the most effective resources and guidance.”

Hood added, “Each agent I work with presents a unique set of circumstances. Each one operates with a different workflow, clientele base, market conditions and market customs. Drawing upon my experience working for agencies in multiple states, I am able to assess the unique challenges of each agent and provide targeted solutions, whether that is offering ideas for streamlining operations, fine-tuning workflow procedures or identifying ways to grow market share.”
