ALTA’s Romeo Named to PRIA Council of Advisors

The Property Records Association (PRIA) recently announced members of its Council of Advisors.

Among those returning to the council is Kelly Romeo, senior vice president and chief information officer for ALTA. Others named to the council include:

  • Marc Aronson, Pennsylvania Association of Notaries
  • Charlie Epperson, Evolve Mortgage Services
  • Carol Foglesong, retired, Orange County, Fla., comptroller’s office
  • Mark Ladd, ICE Mortgage Technology
  • Steve McDonald, retired
  • Diane Swoboda Peterson, Woodbury County, Iowa

In her role at ALTA, Romeo provides strategic direction of the association’s information technology, ensuring that all systems necessary to support its operations are in place. Romeo also oversees the Education Department, NTP Designation program, legal publications and the ALTA Registry. Romeo joined ALTA in 1993 and has been instrumental in the association’s technology evolution, including establishing the association’s first dedicated network and server room. She was also an early leader in working with staff colleagues and technical vendors to launch ALTA’s first website, association management system and e-commerce capabilities.

Additionally, Elizabeth Blosser, ALTA’s vice president of government affairs, was named to PRIA’s Communications Committee. Others on the committee include co-chairs Michael Miller of Charleston County, S.C., and Christie Adams of eRecording Partners Network; and Sharon Martin, Washington County, Wis.
