RecordFusion Implements e-Recording System in Montgomery County, PA

February 14, 2007

RecordFusion, a provider of end-to-end records management solutions, has successfully implemented its CountyFusion eRecording system in the Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, Recorder of Deeds office. The eRecording solution, which allows users to record documents remotely over the Internet, is an extension to the office’s recently installed CountyFusion Records Management system.

RecordFusion’s eRecording system streamlines the recording process for both Montgomery County and for submitters. The system allows the County to quickly process documents and provide officially recorded, stamped copies to submitters within hours, if not minutes.

“We built our eRecording system from the ground up to be powerful, easy-to-use, and to seamlessly integrate into our existing records management technology,” said Bill Welge, President of RecordFusion. “Our eRecording system adds to the powerful arsenal of tools that RecordFusion can provide to our clients.“

"eRecording with RecordFusion is incredibly fast," said Dallys Novarina, CLTP, G.R.I., C.R.S., President of Dallys Associates, Ltd. based in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania and the Vice- President of Pennsylvania Land Title Association (PLTA). "I get recorded documents returned to me within hours. It speeds up my entire transaction process and eliminates lost documents. RecordFusion's technology features an easy-to-use interface, and a submitter only needs a scanner and Internet access to start eRecording. I did not have to incur any start-up technological costs as a submitter. Any questions were answered immediately by their cracker jack staff."

In addition to implementing their own solution at the County, RecordFusion has partnered with Simplifile, Montgomery County’s current eRecording provider, to integrate their eRecording system into the CountyFusion system. This integration allows Montgomery County to efficiently process eRecordings from multiple sources much more quickly.

“eRecording benefits everyone,” said Nancy Becker, Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds. “I want to provide options for Montgomery County submitters and service them as efficiently as possible. It is exciting to see how quickly we can return recorded documents now. The County currently receives approximately 10% of its recordings electronically. I expect this number to increase dramatically over the coming months.”

Montgomery County, located approximately 20 miles west of Philadelphia, records over 800 documents per day in its Recorder’s office. RecordFusion’s other Pennsylvania clients include Lawrence, Elk, Indiana, and Wyoming Counties.
