- Title Acceptance Pilot
  In March 2024, the Biden administration announced a Title Acceptance Pilot, which waives the requirement for lender’s title insurance on certain refinances. ALTA called the announcement a political gesture offering a false promise of savings for homeowners while exposing consumers, lenders and taxpayers to greater financial risk.

  The proposed rule by U.S. Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) will require title and settlement companies nationwide to report information about all-cash residential transactions nationwide involving legal entities and trusts.

Help members identify and evaluate technology partners to select the best products and services for their company.
Help members establish best practices for preventing fraud and information security incidents through employee training, company culture, and technology solutions.
Help members establish and maintain systems which protect against unauthorized access, detect threats, provide actionable alerts, and establish best practices for managing incidents when they occur.
Provide information, education, and training to help members maintain resilient systems, processes, and policies.
Collaborate with other ALTA Engagement Groups and industry partners to create resources and enhance member knowledge.
