Mexico City Approves ALTA Survey for New City Hall and Public Safety Facility
A survey approved by the City of Mexico will help speed up the design phase of the Mexico City Hall and Mexico Public Safety Department facilities project at the former Audrain Medical Cancer Center. At its June 22 meeting, the City of Mexico approved an ALTA Survey to be conducted at 711 E. Jackson Street to support the design of a new city hall and public safety facilities. The survey, which costs $11,100, will be completed no later than Aug. 1.

Updated ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey Standards Take Effect Feb. 23
The American Land Title Association and National Society of Professional Surveyors have finalized revisions to the Minimum Standard Detail Requirements for ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, with an effective date of Feb. 23, 2026. These revisions supersede the 2021 standards and will govern all surveys commenced on or after that date. The revised standards emphasize enhanced precision, transparency and uniformity in the surveying process.
The 2026 Minimum Standard Detail Requirements for ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys
After over three years of work by the Joint ALTA/NSPS Work Group, the 2026 Minimum Standard Detail Requirements for ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys were adopted by the American Land Title Association and the National Society of Professional Surveyors in October 2025 with an effective date of Feb. 23, 2026.
