Joe Grabas is a widely recognized expert in the area of land titles with four decades of experience. He has been designated as a Certified Title Professional by the New Jersey Land Title Association and recognized as a National Title Professional by the American Land Title Association. Joe has performed extensive title research in five States, all twenty-one counties in New Jersey, the records of the New Jersey State Archives, the East and West Jersey Board of Proprietors and Conrail. During that time he has researched, examined, settled and/or insured over 100,000 land titles.
He has been called upon to conduct complex title research for the NJ State Attorney General, the US Fish & Wildlife Service, NJ Dept of Transportation, New Brunswick Parking Authority, the County of Middlesex, Rutgers University, the US Dept of Defense, Conoco-Phillips, BP, Citgo, Northrup Grumman and various Municipalities throughout the State. He has been accepted as a qualified expert by the NJ Superior Court in matters regarding real property records, title research, title insurance and conveyancing.
He is a Licensed Title Producer and Certified Title Insurance Instructor by the NJ Dept of Banking and Insurance for over 30 years. Mr. Grabas has a long history in land title education. As one of the Founding Trustees of the New Jersey Land Title Institute, Joe instructed the Title Insurance Pre-licensing Education course for many years at Rutgers University, Drew University and Bloomfield College. In 2008, Mr. Grabas founded the Grabas Institute for Continuing Education, LLC and is authorized by the NJ Supreme Court, NJDOBI and the NJ Real Estate Commission to provide continuing professional education to the Title, Legal, Real Estate & Insurance fields.
Mr. Grabas was appointed by the Governor to serve on the NJ State Tidelands Council. He is widely recognized as one of the premier land title lecturers in New Jersey. Joe serves on the ALTA Education Committee and as a Historical Commissioner for the County of Monmouth. He is a Past President of the New Jersey Land Title Association and a visiting lecturer at Monmouth University.
