  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience
  • State LTA Member
  • State LTA certification or designation, if applicable

  • Education Prerequisite – Title 101, Title 201, and Ethics in the Title Industry

Renew Your NTP

Once awarded, the designation begins immediately. The designation must be renewed every three years by earning at minimum 30 points.  Ten of the renewal points must be earned through direct ALTA involvement.

For Florida NTP Applicants: If you are a licensed title agent in FL, you’ll be subject to the FL Department of Financial Services’ interpretation of their regulations (FL Administrative Code 69B-215.235; Use of Designations), which will restrict your ability to use the NTP designation in advertising or promoting your products and services to the FL market or in FL transactions. If you are not licensed by the FL DFS, and you do not work on transactions that fall under the supervision of the Florida DFS, you may use the NTP designation as you would any professional designation.
