Stewart Acquires Central Title Co. of Los Alamos, N.M.

HOUSTON, /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Stewart Title Co. has acquired Central Title L.L.C. of Los Alamos, N.M. Existing management and staff will remain with the office.

"This is a prime location in New Mexico where we really wanted to have an owned office," said Larry G. Warren Jr., associate region manager, Stewart Title Co. "We are pleased to bring this excellent operation into the Stewart family."

Former co-owner and general manager Barbara Barnes now serves as president of the office, which will continue using the Central Title name.

"We are pleased and excited to join Stewart's team," said Barnes. "This is good for our employees and good for our customers.

"Our employees will enjoy an improved benefits package and educational opportunities," added Barnes. "Being allied with Stewart as a larger, more technologically advanced company will allow our office to offer better service to our customers. Our customers also can look forward to using our interactive SureClose® program for their real estate transactions."
