Stewart Title Co. Acquires Effingham Title Co.

HOUSTON, /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Stewart Title Co. has acquired Effingham Title Co. of Effingham, Ill. Existing staff will remain with the company, and former manager Kelly Hendricks will now serve as company president.
"We respect the leadership that Dale Wolff and the other partners of the Taylor Law Offices have provided to Effingham Title Co. over the past 22 years," said Ed Janczur, group president, Stewart Title Co., Mid-America Region - North. "We have personally done business with him since 1997, when the office became a Stewart Title agent.
"Dale chose to sell the title agency so he could concentrate on his law practice," said Janczur. "He felt secure with his decision, knowing that Stewart Title is well-respected for its financial strength as one of the nation's largest title insurance underwriters. We are pleased to expand our interests into this part of the state with this excellent company."
Effingham Title Co. has been serving Effingham County, Ill., since 1910. The city is located at the junction of two major interstate highways, I-57 and I-70, in downstate Illinois.
