Thomas J. Fischer Named to New Post in Commerce Title Company

DALLAS, /PRNewswire/ -- Thomas J. Fischer has been named Senior Vice President and National Title and Escrow Operations Manager of Commerce Title Company, a subsidiary of Centex Corporation (NYSE: CTX).He will oversee day-to-day title and escrow operations nationwide.
Fischer joined Commerce Title as Vice President and Northeast Area Manager in May 2003 following the acquisition of his firm, Hudson, Ohio-based Silver Oak Title Agency, Inc.
Early in his career, Fischer was as an attorney with the law firm of Roetzel & Andress Co., LPA. During his seven-year tenure with the firm, he concentrated his practice in the areas of environmental counseling and litigation. His practice at Roetzel was followed by one year at the law firm of Hahn, Loeser & Parks in Cleveland.
From 1999 to 2003, he served as President of Silver Oak Title Agency, Inc. Fischer earned a bachelor of arts degree in chemistry from Wittenberg University and a law degree from the University of Akron School of Law. He is currently a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Cleveland Bar Association, the Akron Bar Association, the Michigan Land Title Association and the Ohio Land Title Association.
